Copy Services

- The copy machine in the Copy Room is not available for use by students, even if they are TA's (Teacher Assistants). Do not send students down to make copies on that machine, per Frances.
- The library now runs the copy service that had been run by the business department. Forms are available in the library, the library copy room, and the mailroom; please attach a form to the items that you would like copied. Remember copyright restrictions apply to all items copied. Except in an emergency, please refrain from sending students down to the library to make multiple class copies for you.
Requests will be handled in the order in which they are received.
|
Display Cases
The library display cases may be reserved to show student work. Please call ext. 4625 to reserve them. This is a great way to showcase our students' talents.
|
English/Reading Teachers
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center database has been purchased for our school. This includes the articles that are useful for persuasive research as well as some full-text articles. However, you may still want to require your students to obtain a public library card as many more databases are available through their website. Any student who lives in Maricopa County is eligible for a card from both the Phoenix Library System and the Maricopa County system. Directions to the libraries and database access is available by clicking here.

Pathfinders
Pathfinders are resource listings for a particular subject area. They include subject terms to assist students in locating materials on a topic, listings of books and reference materials available at the library, and prescreened web sites. Pathfinders have already been prepared for general subject areas, and are available here. Please email the librarian if you would like anything added to your department's pathfinder.
If you are doing a project with your class and would like a specialized internet resource pathfinder prepared, please call 4626. This greatly reduces the amount of time students need to spend searching for resources, and it ensures tha appropriate sites will be utilized.
